A brave young man has rescued a group of eight kangaroos from a zoo in war-torn Ukraine.
On Twitter, footage of the eight animals in the back of the hero’s van being brought to safety has surfaced.
The roos were rescued from Felman Ecopark in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine, according to the tweet.
According to the tweet: “Are you hoping for some good news?

The Ecopark’s official Facebook page expressed gratitude to the volunteer who rescued the kangaroos from harm.
The following was written in the post: “Animals are still being rescued from the Ecopark!
These kangaroos were able to be removed the day before yesterday, which means that they are now safe.
“This is very nice, because unfortunately their enclosures have been repeatedly bombarded. We believe that everything will be fine for them!
“A huge thank you to the volunteers and staff at risk to save animals, as well as our many friends, ordinary people, business structures and community organizations helping us financially and making our rescue operations possible.”
Kharkiv, which is approximately 40 kilometres from Russia’s border, has become the second most shelled city in Ukraine since the invasion began.
The civilian death toll has been placed at more than 100 by Regional Governor Oleh Synyehubov, but there are fears of many more victims.
The eco-park is located on the north-eastern fringes of the city, which has been bombarded and shelled continuously since the assault began in late February.
The zoo is supposed to host over 2,000 animals, with the main mission of creating a socially active environment for both adults and children, according to the official website.
