Jessica Marais has been photographed for the first time working as a waiter.
On Wednesday in Sydney, the former Packed to the Rafters actress, who took a break from acting in 2018 to focus on her mental health, was seen pouring drinks and wiping tables.
The 37-year-old actress, dressed in a black gown with a matching apron, greeted guests and took their orders.
Jessica seemed to be enjoying her new job, as a client told New Idea this week that she was “pleasant” and “very joyful” on a recent visit.
Jessica took a break from acting in late 2018, but in 2020, she joined the cast of Back to the Rafters, an Amazon Prime Video revival of the famous Channel Seven serial Packed to the Rafters.
She was set to reprise her role as Rachel Rafter, the character she played in the original Seven series from 2008 to 2013, but she backed out at the last minute.
Because she was undergoing treatment for ‘urgent’ concerns at The Health Clinic, a mental health institution in Bronte, the mother of one, who suffers from bipolar disorder, was unable to attend the Logie Awards in July 2018.
She got daily counseling sessions and access to nurses, psychiatrists, and psychologists while in treatment.
