A South Australian teacher has appeared in court after being accused with grooming a child for sexual activity.
Ammy Singleton, 28, was charged with communicating with a child for the intention of making the child amenable to sexual activity on December 23, 2021, in Port Augusta.
The alleged crime took place in November of last year, according to police.
Singleton made his second appearance in Port Augusta Court on Wednesday, after first appearing on February 14.
On July 20, she is scheduled to appear in court once more.
The 28-year-old worked as a “relief teacher” for one day, according to principal David Lawton, who informed parents and carers that the charges against her did not involve any children at the school.
