A woman from New South Wales has described her astonishment after giving birth to a baby only a few minutes after discovering she was pregnant.
Last Tuesday, Emma Fitzsimmons went to Port Macquarie Hospital’s emergency room with excruciating abdominal pains when doctors told her ‘the news’.
“I was getting really bad pains in the stomach and I didn’t know what it was and it was just getting worse,” she told Sunrise.

“I was absolutely wailing, I was in so much pain.”
When Emma went for a pelvic examination, however, the doctor discovered that she wasn’t ill but was actually almost 36 weeks pregnant.
“They did the abdominal scan and saw the spine and that’s when I asked them to have a look again because I didn’t believe it,” she explained.
“I just said to her ‘I can’t have a baby, we don’t have enough room!”
Emma was taken to an emergency C-section because the baby’s heart rate was dropping.

The baby was delivered safely without any problems following the procedure.
The new parents are now seeking for a larger house that can accommodate their expanded family.
