An Epping Boys High school student has gone on a massive shopping spree for his classmates after bringing more than $27,000 in cash to his school.
The ‘generous’ friend bought laptops, gaming vouchers, and other expensive gifts for his mates.
The administration from the school has informed the parents of the students of year 7 about the issue.
The Principal of the school wrote, ‘Today we had occasion to talk to year 7 about amounts of cash that has (sic) been circulating around in the form of ‘gifts’, gaming vouchers, funded shopping trips, and computer equipment’.
‘The Youth Officer from Ryde Police also spoke to the year group regarding this matter.’
‘We have asked the boys to spend some time reflecting on what they may know about this issue and to see a member of the year 7 well-being team should they have any information.’
According to Sydney Morning Herald, the boy had sprinkled the $27,000 cash “like confetti’.
Ryde Police officers have been involved and are looking into the matter.
