A 10-year-old boy in Florida has been arrested for allegedly threatening a mass shooting at his school.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, a fifth-grader at Patriot Elementary School in Cape Coral sent another student a menacing text message.
“This student’s behavior is sickening, especially after the recent tragedy in Uvalde, Texas,” making sure our children are safe is paramount”
“We will have law and order in our schools! My team didn’t hesitate one second…NOT ONE SECOND, to investigate this threat,” the local serif said in a social media post referring to last week’s Texas school massacre that saw 21 people dead.
The boy seen in the video that was shared on the sheriff’s Facebook page can not be identified due to his age.
5TH GRADER ARRESTED FOR MAKING WRITTEN THREAT
“Right now is not the time to act like a little delinquent. It’s not funny. This child made a fake threat, and now he’s experiencing real consequences,” stated Sheriff Carmine Marceno.

President Biden and his wife visited Uvalde, sending condolences to the families of the victims of the Robb Elementary School shooting.
This comes amid a massive backlash against the police response time and tactics in handling the incident.
