A cyclist is in intensive care with devastating injuries after he was struck and left for dead by a truck driver in Brighton, Victoria.
Kevin Hall son fought back tears as he plead for help to track down the culprit.
Son Gavan told reporters his father has suffered two broken eye sockets, a broken collarbone, a broken shoulder, two more breaks to his back, and bleeding on the brain.
The 69-year-old cyclist’s son is on the hunt for the runaway driver tracking down security vision as he and police are left horrified at what’s transpired.
The incident occurred around 6 o’clock Saturday morning at the corner of Chatsworth Avenue and St Kilda Street, Brighton.
Mr. Hall was found in the gutter unconscious and it is not known how long he’s been there.
He will be spending months inside the Alfred Hospital, undergoing up to 6 reconstructive surgery on his face followed by rehabilitation between 5 to 6 months.
It is an incredibly tough time ahead for him and his family.
Investigators have tracked down and spoken to some witnesses, however, they said they do need more information in relation to this case.
