A seven-year-old kid went missing in the US and was discovered dead inside his family’s washing machine hours later.
At 5:20 in the morning local time, the police were called to the home located on Rosegate Drive in Houston, Texas, when the child’s adoptive parents became aware that the child had vanished.
When deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene, Troy Khoeler’s parents told them that they hadn’t seen him since four in the morning, as stated by the lieutenant of the homicide unit at the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Robert Minchew.
According to Minhew, the parents were questioned by police officers who were already on the site. The cops then investigated the property at 7.20 in the morning, which is when they discovered the child.
During a news conference on Thursday, he made the following statement: “Things they witnessed caused them to inspect the house in great detail.”
“At that time, they discovered a deceased youngster who was seven years old inside the washing machine that was located in the garage.”
Officers from the homicide squad who arrived at the scene separated the child’s parents and detained them while they questioned them separately about what happened.
According to Minchev, the child was found to be completely dressed when it was discovered, and he had no idea how he had entered the top-loading machine on his own.
According to Minchew, the investigation is still ongoing, and he “can’t say anything” about any potential illegal action that may have occurred.
According to the police, Troy was a foster child who was adopted in 2019, but authorities have not yet determined whether or not the family is responsible for his death.
The authorities are awaiting the findings of the medical examiner’s office in order to identify the circumstances surrounding the decedent’s passing.
No charges had been laid.
