Olivia Newton-John, an icon in Australia, passed just three days after her last post to Instagram, and since then, millions of people have continued to grieve her death.
The singer and actress posted a throwback photo on Friday, captioning it “Flashback Friday” with a picture of herself and her husband, John Easterling.
According to a statement sent by Mr. Easterling’s family, Newton-John “passed away peacefully” while surrounded by family and friends.
Since she was diagnosed with breast cancer over 30 years ago, Olivia has been an inspiration to others by sharing her fight against the disease.
His statement stated as follows: “Her therapeutic inspiration and pioneering expertise with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, committed to investigating plant medicine and cancer.”
Tributes to the famous Grease actress have been pouring in from all corners of the world since she passed away.
On her Instagram page, Newton-John received praise from her former co-star John Travolta.
“Olivia, my most precious, you have made each and every one of our lives so much better. You had a great effect on people. “I love you more than words can say,” he wrote.
“We shall see each other again down the road, and we will all be together once more. Yours from the very first second that I laid eyes on you, and for all of time! That’s your John, that’s your Danny!
The year 1948 marks the year of Newton-birth John’s in the United Kingdom. She began her career as an actress when she was 14 years old.
During the course of her career, the singer, composer, and actress earned a total of four Grammys. She also achieved ten number-one songs and ten singles that landed in the top ten overall.
The Queen honoured Olivia Newton-John in her New Year’s honours in 2020 by bestowing upon her the title of Dame Olivia Newton-John and elevating her to the rank of Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
