The father of one of the boys who was murdered in a horrific accident south-west of Sydney offered some words as the suspected driver appeared in court on a charge of hazardous driving outside of the courthouse.
A Nissan Navara had a head-on collision with a tree on East Pde in Buxton on Tuesday night, resulting in the deaths of five persons, including his son Antonio Desisto.
Other passengers in their late teens included Lilly Van de Putte, Tyrese Bechard, and Summer Williams.
The 18-year-old driver, Tyrell Edwards, was taken into custody and charged with a crime after sustaining injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening while carrying the passengers to Liverpool Hospital.
Now, as the bereaved family members and friends of the young people who were killed in the collision try to make sense of the tragedy, more information about the lives of the young people who were killed in the collision has emerged.
Exaven Desisto, Antonio’s father, made the statement outside of the court that he “thought the world” of his son.
He stated, “Now, I’ve got to visit my son at the f****** morgue.”
“He was my best friend; he never left my side, and the two of us participated in everything together.
“He was the happiest and most humble boy, and he used to go to church and pray… he was just a blessed young man.”
