An appeal to the general public is going to be made by the police as part of their investigation into the sudden death of a girl who was 12 years old and who was found on the Gold Coast earlier this year.
Tiffani Scholten’s body was found unresponsive on April 18 at a residence located on Bellagio Crescent in the city of Coomera.
The rescue services arrived at the apartment at approximately 8:00 p.m., but they were unable to save the girl, and she passed away immediately after their arrival.
The residence was designated as a crime scene, and an investigation codenamed “Operation Uniform Zoysia” was initiated.
According to a statement released by the Queensland Police, Tiffani was suffering from “a range of health issues.”
“However, investigations continue into the circumstances and cause of her death,” they stated. “The circumstances of her death are still under investigation.”
According to the police, Tiffani was reported missing for the last time between the 18th of December 2021 and the 18th of April 2022. The police are asking anyone who may have seen her during that time frame to come forwards.
According to Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Aubort of the Gold Coast District Vulnerable Persons Group, the police will conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and will “leave no stone unturned in doing so.”
Aubort stated that the police are reaching out to anyone who has been to the family residence in an effort to piece together the circumstances surrounding Tiffani’s passing.
