Just a few days after five classmates were tragically killed in a head-on collision, a single-vehicle accident left five other teenagers in critical condition.
The collision took place on Stoney Creek Road in Beverly Hills at an early hour on Friday morning.
Emergency personnel were sent to the location after receiving information that a Honda Accord had been involved in a collision with a pole.
Two female passengers, both of whom were 16 years old, were evaluated and treated by paramedics from the NSW Ambulance Service at the site before being transported to the St. George Hospital in stable condition.
The second female suffers from a head injury, while the younger girl, who is 16, is claimed to have injuries to both her hip and chest.

According to the Assistant Commissioner of the NSW Police, Brett McFadden, investigations are currently looking into whether or not the event was caused by excessive speed.
The events leading up to the collision are currently being looked into by investigators from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit of the police force.
