The television icon Karl Stefanovic is the subject of an investigation by the police following charges that he inappropriately touched a waiter at a charity event.
During the Six-Hour Project cancer gala in Brisbane in August, Stefanovic, 48, is said to have inappropriately touched a male server, as reported by The Courier-Mail.
According to a spokeswoman for the Queensland Police, an investigation is currently being conducted.
A spokeswoman for the Queensland Police said that an investigation was being conducted into a report involving the alleged assault of a man that took place on Saturday, August 20 at a company in Newstead during an event.
“Because the enquiry is still going on, I don’t feel it’s right to make any further comments.”
There has been no response to a request for comment that has been made by Stefanovic and the Nine Network.
