John Farnham, an Australian singer, underwent a life-saving operation in August to remove a tumor from his mouth. He was 73 years old at the time of the operation.
His sons, James and Rob, thanked his fans for their well wishes and support.
“We would like to thank all of the people who sent us messages of support and well wishes during this time,” Rob said in an interview with A Current Affair.
James added that it was comforting to know that his father was still loved by his fans.
The boys spent a lot of time at their father’s hospital bed, where he was recovering from his surgery. They said that they are not thinking about their father’s future as a singer.
He is now in a rehabilitation facility, where he is able to meet new nurses and enjoy cracking jokes.
James credited his wife, Jill, for keeping the family together during this difficult time.
In September, she posted an update about her husband’s recovery. The family also thanked the public for their well wishes and support.
During the time of his operation, John underwent a 12-hour procedure to remove a tumor from his mouth.
