A woman died after an incident that occurred in the middle of a busy shopping mall in Sydney’s west on
Friday afternoon. Witnesses shared their thoughts on social media. They said the individual who died looked to be in her mid-40s.
Multiple stores in the mall were temporarily closed following the incident. One of the witnesses who witnessed the incident said that they were shaken up by what happened.
The owner of the store where the incident occurred reportedly heard it all, and her shop closed after the incident.
A large section of the mall was reportedly cordoned off. One witness wrote on social media that he learned that the incident was caused by the death of a woman.
It occurred three years after a similar incident. In footage from the scene, police tape can be seen blocking the entrance of the mall.
At the time of the incident, a spokesperson for the mall’s owner, Scentre Group, said that the company takes the safety of its customers and partners very seriously.
They also noted that they have provided support and counseling services to those who need it.
