A furious passenger went on a social media rant after she was bumped into two obese individuals during an American Airlines flight on October 11. S
ydney Watson, a political commentator from Australia, took to Twitter to criticize the passengers’ behavior. She called out the overweight individuals for being “absolutely unacceptable”.
The passenger, who identified herself as Sydney Watson, said she was disgusted by the behavior of the two obese individuals. She noted that she was stuck between them for three hours.
American Airlines responded to her complaints by stating that their customers are all different shapes and sizes.
Watson was not pleased with the response from the company, which she claimed was their official response to her complaints.
She noted that she was only allotted a quarter of a seat during the flight. Four hours after she was bumped into the obese individuals, she narrated her experience with the airline.
Upon realizing that she was separated from her sister and brother, Watson offered to exchange her seats with one of them. However, the man declined and said “No.”
Well, here's the email I got from American Airlines. pic.twitter.com/bfa2jwoZYE

A formal apology was then sent to Watson on October 18 by American Airlines. The airline also gave her a $150 credit as a gesture of goodwill.
