Following Hancock Prospecting’s decision to withdraw its sponsorship of the sport, the Australian Diamonds have signed a $15 million deal with Visit Victoria.
The agreement will see the organization’s logo appear on the team’s uniform and promote the state as a travel destination.
The Australian Diamonds will be based in Victoria for the next five years, and they’ll also host at least one international match. They’ll also hold training camps in the state.
In addition, the state will host the Super Netball Grand Final in 2023.
Daniel Andrews, the Victorian Premier, said that he was thrilled to announce that the state had secured a major sponsorship deal with Visit Victoria. He noted that it was a significant coup for the state.
Kelly Ryan, the CEO of the organization, noted that the partnership would allow the public to experience more of the sport in the state over the next couple of years.
The deal with Visit Victoria, which is the state’s tourism agency, will also help Melbourne become known as the “so-called sporting capital” of Australia.
It’s already home to some of the country’s most prominent events, such as the Australian Open tennis tournament and the Melbourne Cup.
Several of the organization’s major sponsors, such as Nissan, Suncorp, and Origin Energy, have also stated that they will continue supporting the Australian Diamonds.
