A 95-year-old farmer from Carters Ridge in Queensland was reportedly exposed to the elements for several days after falling from his tractor.
He was rescued on Tuesday morning and taken to a hospital.
Paramedics said the man was suffering from dehydration and hypothermia, but he was in a stable condition.
The incident was triggered by the man’s neighbor, who told authorities that the man might be in trouble.
According to Shaun Bright, a spokesperson for the Queensland Ambulance Service, the tractor got stuck near a dam, and it appeared that the 95-year-old had tried to step off the vehicle.
He was exposed to the elements for several days due to a medical episode.
Despite the man’s various health conditions, the incident was still considered difficult for him.
According to Shaun Bright, the man was in an altered state when he was rescued.
He said the farmer was covered in mud.
