Two-year-old Jydeon Pollard died after he was attacked by two dogs in Cowra, NSW, at around 10.20am on Tuesday.
According to the police, the boy and his family were staying at a motel at the time of the incident.
The Daily Telegraph reported that the family had been searching for a new home.
It’s believed that the dogs, which were owned by the staff of the hotel, attacked Jyedon and his two sisters while they were playing with a cattle dog and a rottweiler.
Emergency services were called to the scene, but a member of the public had already taken the boy to the local hospital.
He was then taken to Westmead Hospital in Sydney.
A Go Fund Me page has been established to help the family of Jydeon, who suffered serious injuries.
The two animals were reportedly seized by the local police.
A crime scene was also established at the hotel where the family was staying.
An investigation is also being conducted by the police.
