A mum who was supposed to throw a lavish birthday party for her son has hit back at trolls.
Sabina Marriott, from Melbourne, Australia, wanted her son Leon’s first birthday to be special, and she planned a party that would be memorable.
She spent thousands of dollars on the event, and she wanted the decorations to be inspired by the character Bluey.
After posting pictures of the party on Facebook, which featured a variety of balloons, she was met with hateful comments.
However, she decided to respond to the people who made the comments by saying that the party was for everyone, not just her son.
It’s sad that people have forgotten about the two years that Covid has been away from his family.
Some of the people who posted comments on the Facebook page called the party a waste of money, while others said that Leon might not remember it.
However, Sabina is not backing down. She said that the party was made from scratch, and all of the decorations were sourced from local businesses.
According to Sabina, it was uplifting to see the faces of the children light up when they saw the party’s setup.
She also confirmed that around 70 people attended the event, and they enjoyed the various activities at the party, such as the ball pit and the petting zoo.
