A 61-year-old woman is fighting for her life after she was injured in an accident involving a farming tool on a property in Queensland’s Southern Downs.
She lost both of her legs and an arm in the incident, which happened at around midday on Thursday.
According to Stephen Johns, a spokesperson for the Queensland Ambulance Service, the woman was riding a tractor that had a slasher attached when it crashed.
The tool then ran over her. Despite her injuries, she was still able to call for help.
Despite her injuries, the woman was still able to talk to paramedics. She was conscious and able to communicate with them.
It’s believed that she was able to call for help immediately after the accident.
Doctors and nurses from the local hospital helped the woman before she was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
A forensic investigation has been carried out by the Queensland police.
