Kate Keltie played Michelle Scully on the Australian soap opera “The Neighbours” from 1999 to 2004. She has been diagnosed with stage four cancer.
A fundraising page for the former actress has already raised over $30,000.
According to her friend, who set up the page, Keltie was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. She was also told that her cancer had spread to other parts of her body.
Her cancer is considered to be very aggressive and has affected her lymph nodes, blood, and hip bones.
This week, Keltie’s fight will begin as she begins chemotherapy.
According to her friend, Gilbert, Keltie was told that she would not be able to have children and that her job would be affected by her illness.
The goal of the fund-raising campaign is to help Keltie with her day-to-day expenses, as well as cover her specialist appointments.
Although she is best known for playing Michelle Scully in “The Neighbours,” she has also appeared in other television shows such as “Blue Heelers,” “Rush,” and “Hampshire F.P.”
