A young mother from Melbourne died six weeks after she was diagnosed with cancer. Ella Troup, who was 27 years old, passed away during an operation to treat her illness. Her husband, Ben, and their two children, Leo, three, and one-year-old Oliver, were devastated by her loss.
A fundraising campaign was launched by her friends and colleagues at GlobeWest, a furniture and home furnishings company, to help the Troup family. Since the start of the campaign, over $113,000 has been raised. Most of the donations that have been made were from people who didn’t know about Ella’s illness.
Ella had a hard time finding the primary source of her illness. Since she lost the battle, her friends and colleagues decided to help the Troup family by setting up a fundraising campaign. The goal of the campaign is to provide the family with as much support as possible. On Monday, Ben shared a video of Ella as she ran towards the ocean. It was set to the song “Just Like Heaven.”
GlobeWest, Mrs Troup’s employer, contributed $30,000 to the campaign. One of the company’s local shops, Down The Street, also shared a tribute on its Facebook page. It said that it received the sad news about Ella last week.
The company’s staff members have known the Troup family for a long time. They were devastated by Ella’s death and are trying to help the family through this difficult time. One of her friends also shared the fundraising page on Facebook.
The message posted on the fundraising page said that Ella left behind her two sons, Oliver and Leo, who were without their mother and a loving husband. One of the campaign’s supporters described her as a beautiful and sunny individual. Even though they weren’t able to meet each other in person, they were able to follow her journey from afar.
