The identities of the four individuals who died in the helicopter crash on Australia’s Gold Coast earlier this month have been confirmed.
They were identified as Diane Hughes, 65, and her husband Ron, 57, from the UK; Vanessa Tadros, 36; and Ashley Jenkinson, the pilot.
The incident, which happened on Monday afternoon, involved two helicopters flying near Sea World. The two helicopters collided and crashed.
The victims, including the pilot and his passenger, were taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
A Gofundme page has been established to help the family of De Silva. It’s believed that Diane Hughes and her husband, Ron, lived in the Liverpool area of England.
The UK Foreign Office is supporting the Hughes family.
The condition of Nicholas Tadros is reportedly critical. His family was scheduled to fly back to Sydney on Monday.
Ashley Jenkinson, who was the chief pilot of Sea World, also died in the crash. He is survived by his wife and young son.
People have paid tribute to Jenkinson, who was reportedly an experienced pilot who helped deliver aid after last year’s floods in eastern parts of Australia.
The tragic incident happened in front of thousands of spectators who were watching the Sea World and the Broadwater during the holiday season.
