Beachgoers in Adelaide were on high alert after a massive white shark was spotted near the shore at Aldinga Beach.
According to witnesses, the animal could be about four meters long.
They said that it looked like the shark was the size of a boat.
Due to the lack of surf patrol operations, the police were called in to inform the public about the sighting.
It occurred just a couple of hours after a fisherman caught a shark that was about three meters long.
According to the CSIRO, there are two great white populations living in Australia.
There are believed to be over 12,000 great white sharks in Australia’s eastern population.
The southern population is not yet known.
