During the funeral service for Vanessa Tadros, a Sydney mother who lost her life in a helicopter accident on the Gold Coast on January 2, the sound of bells echoed.
She was one the four people who were killed when two choppers collided.
Her son Nicholas, who was one of the passengers in one of the helicopters, woke from a coma but remained in a critical condition.
Hundreds of people attended the funeral at a Western Sydney church. Simon, her husband, held back tears as he delivered his speech.
Simon will be going to the Gold Coast on Monday to be with his son, Nicholas, who is recovering from his injuries.
According to Pierre, a congregant, the entire community is feeling sorry for the family.

He said that despite her death, Vanessa was a pure-hearted person who was adored by her family.
The Air Transport Safety Bureau’s investigation into the crash is not expected to be completed until 2024.
