On Thursday, a large asteroid that’s about the size of a city bus will pass the Earth at the closest point in three centuries.
According to NASA, the space rock known as 2023 BU will come within about 3400 kms of the planet.

Other asteroids that are about to pass the Earth will pass at a distance of over 386000km.
According to NASA, if the asteroid passes safely through, it will be the fourth-closest approach to Earth in three centuries.
Those who want to catch a glimpse of the space rock can do so through a livestream organized by the VTP in Italy.
It’s believed that the asteroid, which is about 9 meters wide and 4 meters long, will not hit Earth due to its distance from the planet.
