Bonza, Australia’s newest low-cost carrier, is set to launch with cheap flights to some of the country’s hidden regional gems.
As part of its rollout, the airline is now able to offer flights to 12 destinations.
The first flight will be departing from the Sunshine Coast on January 31.
Bonza’s Carly Povey said that it was time for people to see more of their own backyard.
She noted that the company would make travel more affordable by connecting regions and providing more routes that aren’t served by other airlines.
The cheapest flights Bonza currently offers are $49 each way to destinations such as Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, and the Sunshine Coast.
Its most expensive flights are $79 each way to places such as Mildura and Avalon.
According to Povey, Bonza’s goal is to provide its customers with the best possible value for their money, and the company is committed to developing new markets for Australia’s tourism industry.
Through October 2023, the airline is currently offering flights to various destinations.
To book a flight, customers can use the Fly Bonza app.
The routes from Melbourne Airport’s second base, which Bonza uses, are expected to go onsale soon.
Those who have already used the app should remove it and replace it with the latest version.
