Fitness star Sophie Guidolin, who is from the Gold Coast, revealed on Wednesday that she had suffered from a stillbirth.
She and her husband, Andrew Firgaira, were married just a month ago. The couple had initially expected their first child in December.
However, on January 25, she gave birth to a stillborn girl named Pixie.
On Friday, Guidolin posted a message on her Instagram page, which included a trigger warning. She had 549,000 followers.
In her post, she shared a black-and-white photo of her baby girl, who she named Pixie.
She wrote that she would always remember the little girl as a reminder of her life.
She also thanked her friends and family for their support. She also thanked those who flew in to help her during her difficult time.
She also thanked those who held her hand while she was sobbed. After the post, she started a message for other expectant mothers. She said she could not begin to talk about her sorrow and grief.
On January 25, she said she experienced a “life-changing event.” She said she was able to deliver a beautiful baby girl, named Pixie, through a C-section.
However, due to a medical issue, the baby was stillborn. She said she was still trying to make sense of her grief and trust that the universe would provide her with the support she needed.
She added that she felt guilty for her thoughts prior to the tragic event.
The mother said she did not have the words to explain her feelings and did not know how to cope with her loss.
She thanked her doctors and the hospital staff for their efforts during her difficult time.
She also thanked her friends and family for their support.
