A zoo is offering a romantic greeting to ex-boyfriends/girlfriend who won’t leave you alone.
For $10, they will name a Cockroach after your significant other and feed it to one of their animals, which is a direct message saying “I’m no longer interested.”
The zoo noted that its annual fundraiser, which is called “Cry Me a Cockroaches,” supports its efforts to secure a future for Texas’ wildlife.
For those who don’t want to eat bugs, the zoo offers a variety of vegetables and rodents for $25 and $5, respectively.
In return, their significant other will receive a digital card that says “thank you” and “I’m supporting the zoo.”
People can also write their ex-boo a message on the card, letting them know that their choice of vegetables or rodents was named after them.
For an additional $150, customers can upgrade to a personalized video message that shows their vegetable or cockroach being eaten by an animal.
According to Cyle Perez, the event is a hit and last year, the zoo received over 8000 donations.
Perez noted that the zoo is on track to break last year’s record, with names such as “Adam,” “Ray,” and “Zach” being submitted so far.
To participate, individuals should submit their ex’s name before Valentine’s Day.
