The incident was captured on video and shared on her Instagram page.

She suffered bruising to her leg when the mug was thrown at her.
In a series post on her Instagram page, Peterson said that the woman who threw the mug at her was angered by her appearance.
She noted that this incident had happened because of her body.
According to Peterson, the incident started after she had been having a good discussion with the public.
She noted that despite the violence that non-violent activists experience, it only fuels their fire to fight against animal cruelty.
In her Instagram post, Peterson stated that several businesses in the area failed to intervene after her cup was shattered.
She also noted that a fellow activist asked her for an ice pack, which she was then offered a frozen meat dish. The police were still investigating the incident.
This comes after Peterson was previously convicted of trespassing after she had locked herself inside a cattle judging ring at Perth Royal Show.
