Levi Hanna, 14, is clinging to life after he was hit by a car while he was crossing a road in Queensland.
He was reportedly dropped off at Tin Can Bay Road in Canina, near Gympie, at around 3.45 pm.
As he was crossing the road, he was hit by a Hyundai i30.
Before paramedics arrived, the public helped Levi by rushing to his aid.
His parents rushed to the scene to get him medical attention.
He was then taken to a hospital in a critical condition, and his stepmother, Petrina, launched a crowdfunding campaign to help the family.
Levi enjoys playing football, fishing, and having his puppy Rusty with him.
In his post, Hanna asked for help from the public to keep the family near him.
The driver of the Hyundai, who was not injured, reportedly cried upon learning about the accident.
The family has also offered assistance to other people who were affected by the incident.
Witnesses are asked to contact the police.
