The $40 million jackpot was won by a woman from Echuca in northern Victoria.
The woman, who didn’t want to be identified, was contacted by The Lott on Friday morning to tell her about her incredible win.
She was then informed that she would be taking home the entire prize money, with the option of extending her weekend.
James Eddy, a spokesperson for The Lott, said that the woman was “over the moon” and plans on buying her own home and quitting her job.
She initially thought that she was being scammed. She said that her entire body went numb after learning about her win.
She told The Lott that she initially thought that she was being tricked. She said that she was so nervous that she couldn’t sleep at night.
She added that her husband and she were pacing back and forth throughout the night.
She and her husband had previously set goals for themselves, but now they no longer have to worry about how they’ll achieve them.
She said that she was in shock and couldn’t believe that she had won. She plans on celebrating her win, but it won’t feel real until she receives her winnings.
The woman exclaimed upon receiving the news that she had won over the phone, and she told The Lott officials that she would be quitting her job and taking time off to spend with her family.
She also stated that she and her husband would be able to completely pay off their mortgage.
The team of The Lott, however, was unable to reach the woman on the night of the draw.
She said that she was at work when she received the call, and she decided to answer the phone as she was at her desk.
The woman’s winning numbers in the drawing were 7, 35, 31, 2 and 24.
The most important number that was selected in the game was 18.
In total, there were over a million winners in division two and nine.
