It was supposed to be Mr. Kingsley Burnett’s dream holiday, as he was planning on going on a cruise trip to Australia.
However, instead of the beaches and beautiful mountains, he saw snow-covered mountains.
He later learned that he had mistakenly booked a flight to a small town in Montana instead of Sydney.
According to Burnett, he was stunned by the white snow and immediately suspected that he was in trouble.
Upon his plane’s arrival in Billings, which is a city in Montana, Mr. Burnett learned that a small plane had been waiting for him to Sidney.
He attributed the mix-up to the airport codes in both Sidney and Sydney.
He said that he was initially surprised by the low prices of his tickets, and he admitted that he should have paid more attention to the destination.
Due to his mistake, he was forced to book a hotel room in Montana to wait for the flight home.
He then decided to reschedule his trip to Australia to June.
According to Shelli Mann, the hotel’s manager, this is not the first time that an error like this occurs.
She noted that it had happened to a guest in the past.
