An autopsy on the body of a Western Australian student who was found dead in a Bali hotel revealed that the cause of her death was not clear.
The body of Niamh Finneragan Loader was discovered on December 2. She had traveled to the island for dental work.
The staff members of the hotel where the body of the student was found were fixing the air conditioning unit when they discovered it.
According to The West Australian, it’s believed that the body was laid out for several days before it was discovered.
While Ms. Loader was buried in Mandurah on December 23, the results of the autopsy were only returned a couple of days later.
Denpasar Police Commissioner Frans Bambang Yoga said that the results of the autopsy had not been able to determine the exact cause of death of the student.
Despite the lack of a clear cause of death, the police still continued their investigations.
The next step in the investigation will be to hold a meeting between the various departments involved.
According to her father, Malcolm, Ms. Loader was in Bali for dental work. She was reportedly very happy with her results.
However, at this time, her family has no idea what happened to her.
She was studying for her Masters degree in the university of Western Australia.
She had also been planning on going to the US for an internship.
A fundraising page established on the Go Fund Me website to help with the repatriation of the student’s body reached over $42,000 before it was closed.
