A customer from Melbourne took issue with a 1/2 price display that he saw at a local Woolworths store.
He said he spotted the items at 6.20pm, but the staff members didn’t sell him the products at the reduced prices.
He was also upset that the promotions didn’t start until the following day.
It is believed that the half-price deals at Woolworths start at 12.01am on Wednesday and end at 11.59pm on Tuesday.
In an unusual move, the staff members of this store placed 1/2 price items on display early on Wednesday.
The customer, on his Twitter page, claimed that the practice was misleading.
The customer claimed that the promotion was misleading since it didn’t start until the following day.
He also said that he didn’t want to identify the store where he saw the promotion due to the number of people who didn’t look at the advertisement.
In an attempt to avoid getting the lowest-paid workers in trouble, the customer stated that he didn’t want to see the promotions go to waste.
It’s believed that the 1/2 price displays were created early to coincide with the live specials.
Usually, these promotional items and tickets are placed on display the day before the deals are scheduled to start.
