Scott Cabrie, who was an Uber driver from Hervey Bay, was found dead on the Fraser Coast on Sunday.
Two teenagers have since been charged with his murder. It’s believed that he was killed by the two men during a trip last week.
Cabrie was last seen leaving his Toogoom home on February 6.
His friends reported him missing on February 10, and on social media, they noted that his disappearance was out of character.
His burnt-out vehicle was discovered on February 7 near Wieland Rd., which prompted a massive police search.
After locating Cabrie’s body near the Howard boat ramp, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy from Pacific Haven.
He has been charged with one count of murder and one count of arson.
A second man from Sunshine Acres was also charged with murder and armed robbery.
Both men are in custody and are expected to appear in court later this month.
The two men will appear in the Hervey Bay Children’s Court on Monday.
The police are also asking for the public’s help in identifying the vehicle that they believe was used in the incident.
They’re looking for footage of the Nissan X-Trail that was seen on Torbanlea Rd at around 11pm on February 6.
