Two people have died in a house fire that broke out in Edwardstown in Adelaide’s southwest.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5am on Monday.
Upon arriving, they found the home well alight.
The fire was extinguished within 10 minutes, and the bodies of two individuals were found inside the house.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and the two people who died were reportedly family members.
The police said they were yet to formally identify them.
Investigators were at the scene to determine the exact cause of the incident.
A nearby neighbour alerted the emergency services after seeing the fire.
The fire started in the house’s spare room, and it was estimated that the damage caused by the fire was around $100,000. D
ue to the incident, road closures were implemented in the area.
The police also asked people to avoid the affected area.
