In an interview, a Queensland mum admitted that she caused the deaths of her two daughters by leaving them in a hot car for several hours.
As she faced court for her sentencing, she wore a pink and white floral top and a face mask.
According to the police, Courtney came home from a friend’s house on November 23, 2019, and parked her car outside her home in West Waterford.
She then fell asleep while her two daughters, Chloe-Ann, 1, and Darcy-Helen, 2, were still inside the vehicle.
Under a new Queensland law that was only introduced a couple of weeks before the tragic incident, Courtney was charged with murder.
She later pleaded guilty to manslaughter and drug possession charges.
When asked what she wanted to say during her court appearance, Conoley quietly answered, “No, Your Honor.”
