A man died after falling from a cliff at Gibraltar Falls in the ACT on Saturday afternoon.
incident, which happened at around 5.25 pm, was the second death at this popular site in just a week.
Emergency services were called to the area after reports that a man had fallen.
The man, who was reportedly in the water at around 6 pm, was pronounced dead upon arrival at the scene.
He was reportedly with his sister and some of his friends when he fell. A fundraising page was set up to help his family with funeral expenses.
According to the page, the man, who was identified as Pat Prevett, fell from the top of the waterfall.
He was later recovered by the emergency services. The Prevett family lost a son, a nephew, an uncle, and a friend. He was a kindhearted man who had a lot of life in front of him.
The Prevett family is reportedly proud of what he was able to achieve and how he lived life.
His passing has left his friends and family in a state of shock. Julia Wythes, the friend who established the fundraising page, said that no family should have to deal with the funeral expenses for their son.
