A couple of rottweilers were seized after a baby died in New South Wales, Australia, over the weekend.
The incident happened in Moruya, which is a town on the coast of NSW.
At around 10.45 pm on Saturday, emergency services were called to a house after reports of an attack.
The child was then taken to a local hospital in a private car.
The child was taken to a hospital after suffering a serious head injury.
However, they died a few hours later.
The two rottweilers that were seized by the local council of Eurobodalla were taken from the family’s home.
In the last year, there were over 3350 reported dog attacks in NSW.
A two-year old boy died in November last year after he was attacked by two dogs in Cowra, NSW.
In the previous four years, a baby was also killed by a rottweiler in Inverell, northwest of Sydney.
The child was in a pram when the dog attacked her.
