Former Australian talent show winner Jack Vidgen debuted a new look on the red carpet recently.
He said that while he enjoys exploring his feminine side, he still uses the term “male” to refer to himself.
In a post on his Instagram page, he thanked his fans for supporting him during his recent transformations.
He also thanked them for hyping him up while he was going through his new look.
Despite the support he received from his fans, the former Australian talent show winner said that he still identifies as a gay man.
He also noted that he received a lot of hate on his TikTok account.
One of his fans commented on his post and said that he should stop being a “chauvinistic” person. Another said that he was wrong to call himself a man.
Many of the comments that were directed at the singer were too offensive to repeat.
However, he noted that the negative comments he received didn’t phase him.
He said that he had become completely desensitised to the criticism he received due to how he looked during his time on The Voice.
He also said that he would continue to push the envelope and break the mold when it comes to dressing.
He also noted that people shouldn’t have to tone down to make others feel comfortable.
He took a humorous shot at the Daily Mail’s coverage of his red carpet appearance, where it called him an unrecognizable individual due to how he had transformed into a drag alter ego.
In response, he said that he was not in drag and that his new look was just a reflection of who he is.
