A woman from Glenelg who was killed in a car crash in Adelaide’s south on Saturday was identified as 51-year-old Georgina Heath.
She was a mother of two. She was returning home after celebrating a friend’s birthday when her Hyundai SUV was T-boned by another car.
The collision occurred as Heath and her partner Ryan Henderson were sitting in the back seat.
The other vehicle, which was being driven by a teenage boy, hit the back of the SUV.
The impact pushed it into a tree. Heath was killed instantly, while the other three people in the car, including the driver, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and his passenger, who are from Morphett Vale, suffered serious injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Heath’s family and friends posted tributes to her online, urging people to avoid driving while intoxicated and speeding.
In her post, Heath’s daughter Jessie said that she was taken too soon. Her friend also said that she was a beautiful soul who was taken too soon.
The Main South Road was closed to traffic for several hours following the accident. Major Crash investigators are currently examining the incident.
