A family in Melbourne’s northeast had a frightening encounter with a wild deer during their holiday.
Alexander Hill, from Alphyington, received numerous missed calls from his neighbors and a message from his wife claiming that there was a stag inside their home.
After checking his home, Mr Hill realized that a deer had broken into it.
He then called the police and asked them to investigate the incident.
According to him, the deer got into his townhouse after seeing his reflection. It then charged at his window, causing him to panic.
After the deer got into the townhouse, Mr Hill said, it got stuck inside a white box.
He and his family waited for about two hours for a ranger to arrive to tranquillise the animal.
However, since the deer ran away after opening the door, the ranger decided not to use the chemical.
According to the rangers, the incident was rare since they usually deal with kangaroos.
They only see deer around once every 50 calls.
