Just hours before he died, MasterChef judge and chef Jock Zonfrillo posted his final message on Instagram, asking fans to tune in to the upcoming season of the show.
The 46-year-old chef passed away in Melbourne on Sunday.
The new season of the show was scheduled to air on Channel 10.
In response to his death, the network announced that the upcoming season of the cooking competition would be postponed to a later date.
In a statement, his family said that they were devastated by his sudden death. They also asked that the public respect their privacy at this time.
“So many words can describe him, so many stories can be told, but at this time we’re too overwhelmed to put them into words.
“For those who crossed his path, became his mate, or were lucky enough to be his family, keep this proud Scot in your hearts when you have your next whisky.
To allow them to grieve in private, the family requested that the public respect their privacy during this difficult time.
Mr Zonfrillo is also survived by his wife, Lauren Fried, and his four children: Ava, Isla, Sophie, and Alfie.
