Motorists in Melbourne were stunned when they saw a teenager driving a Lamborghini Aventador on the Eastern Freeway.
The car, which retails for around $925,300, was reportedly driven by a 16-year-old student who had just gotten off from school.
According to the Italian carmaker, the Aventador LP750-4SV is the most emotional and fastest production model of its kind.
This photo was posted on the Melbourne Car Spotters’ Facebook page.
It shows the learner driver behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Aventador.
It’s not illegal for new drivers in Australia to drive high-powered vehicles such as this.
A spokesperson for VicRoads noted that the vehicle is under the control of the supervising driver.
In Victoria, Lamborghinis are not allowed for new provisional drivers.
Motorists were stunned that a learner could drive a vehicle that’s capable of going from 0 to 100 km/hr in less than three seconds.
Many of them compared the teenager’s actions to putting a young pilot in a fighter jet.
Some of the drivers who responded to the post said that learning to drive in extraordinary vehicles is a great idea.
However, they noted that one must be careful with the accelerator.
