Following the tragic death of Jock Zonfrillo earlier this year, there have been a lot of speculations about who will replace him on MasterChef.
According to sources, a prominent international chef is in talks to take over as the new host of the show.
He’s familiar to fans due to his appearances as a guest judge on the show.
Sources close to the network revealed that a deal is in place to have Jamie Oliver, 48, join the show as its new host.
However, they noted that the British celebrity, who is a TV personality and author, has not yet agreed to take over the role permanently.
The network is currently in talks with Oliver about a potential deal that would pay him around $2 million to serve as a judge on the upcoming season of the show.
According to the sources, the contract also includes accommodations for his family during their stay in Australia.
If the deal goes through, it would not be Oliver’s first time as a judge on the show.
He has been a guest judge on the program since 2012.
He also appeared alongside Andy, Melissa, and Jock during the most recent season.
