Nikita Piil, a woman from Perth, was attacked by her two dogs at her home on Saturday.
Due to her condition, she was taken to a hospital for emergency surgery.
The doctors had to perform plastic surgery on her arm to save it.
The incident has prompted the Premier of Western Australia, Roger Cook, to call for an inquiry.
He stated that the circumstances surrounding the attack should be examined.
According to Bill Shorten, some breeds are considered to be sharks on legs, and they should be banned.
After the police arrived, they shot the dogs to save Piil. According to witnesses, an officer had no choice but to use force to save her life.
The police stated that the aggressive nature of the animals and the risk to people led them to fire their weapon.
Piil was rushed to the hospital. One of the animals was euthanized due to its injuries.
The other one was kept inside the garage until the Cockburn City Council’s rangers arrived.
