In her new book, “Worthy,” Jada Pinkett-Smith opened up about her past and how close she came to committing suicide.
She revealed that she almost killed herself 14 years ago when she and Will Smith were still married.
The actress stated that her plan to kill herself by driving off a cliff looked like an accident to protect her kids.
According to Jada, the only option for her was to kill herself, as she had previously attempted various forms of self-care activities and therapy.
She also took lessons from Tiger Woods. The actress stated that she learned a lot from the golf pro.
In her book, Jada talks about connecting with a ball and how important it is to have a spiritual connection.
After a friend suggested ayahuasca, which is a plant-based psychoactive drink that has therapeutic properties, Jada took it.
The actress said that taking the drink helped her deal with her own suicidal thoughts.
For the exercise, Jada had to imagine herself going through a jungle full of snakes. After four days, she said she felt no longer suicidal.
She also opened up about her desire to be a mother to her kids and how she was able to achieve this after realizing that she would never leave Will Smith.
In an interview with Daily Mail, Jada revealed that she almost didn’t go to the Academy Awards in 2006.
She said that she was glad she did, as it helped her get a lot of positive things from the event.
One of these included her husband, Will Smith, who won an award for his performance in “King Richard.”
During the ceremony, Jada and Will sat in the front row. During a joke that was about Jada’s hair condition, which is referred to as alopecia, comedian Chris Rock said that the actress looked like she had a “shaven head.”
After seeing her reaction, Will decided to confront Rock and slap him across the face. Jada then said that the moment was when she saw where Rock was going to be in the future.
It took a slap to the face for Jada to realize that she would never leave Will Smith.
She said that if it hadn’t happened, their relationship might not be as strong. After moving out of their house in Calabasas, Jada purchased a nearby home.
In an interview with Redbook, Jada revealed how she doesn’t have to ask Will if he’s okay with her new couch because it’s made of cream patent leather and has gold studs on it.
While at an event in Miami, Will was spotted with a woman who resembled Jada.
