The cause of Matthew Perry’s death has been revealed, as the actor, who was best known for playing Chandler Bing in the TV series Friends, died in October.
He was 54 years old when he passed away. According to the report released by the LA County Medical Examiner’s Office, he died due to the effects of ketamine.
His death was ruled as an accident due to various factors, including drowning and coronary artery disease.
According to TMZ, his body didn’t get waterlogged when emergency responders reached his home, which means that he wasn’t in his hot tub when they got there.
His assistant then called 911 to report his sudden death.
Upon entering the pool, his assistant found Perry underwater and tried to get him some air.
Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead after he was pulled out of the water.
He had been playing a game known as pickleball earlier in the afternoon, and he left after about an hour due to what he claimed was fatigue.
According to law enforcers, they did not find illegal substances at his home.
However, they did find multiple prescription drugs, which were reportedly prescribed for the treatment of various conditions, such as anxiety and COPD.
